The right floor for every room
Living rooms
Carpet for warmth and quiet, or LVT, laminate or engineered wood for a wood look that’s easy to keep clean.
Bedrooms
Carpet with a softer underlay is the usual choice. It’s warm underfoot and helps keep noise down.
Stairs and landings
Hard-wearing carpet on a firm underlay, fitted waterfall or Hollywood style. Stair carpet fitting.
Kitchens
Vinyl or LVT on a properly levelled floor: waterproof, warm and easy to wipe clean.
Bathrooms
Vinyl with sealed edges, cut neatly around the toilet and pedestal. LVT works well too.
Hallways
The busiest floor in the house. LVT, vinyl or a tough carpet with a good doormat at the door.
Underlay makes the difference
Underlay affects how a carpet feels, how long it lasts and how quiet the room is. We match it to the room: firmer for stairs and hallways, softer for bedrooms and living rooms. Under laminate and wood-look floors on concrete, we use underlay with a moisture barrier.

What to expect on fitting day
- Clear small items, ornaments and anything fragile from the room
- Empty wardrobes, drawers and cupboards that need moving
- Heavier furniture can be moved by arrangement, so tell us when you book
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- A parking space near the door helps us unload
- We’ll need access to a power socket
- Doors may be trimmed so they close over the new floor
- If it’s on your quote, the old flooring is lifted and taken away
